Barbara Wildenboer produces sculptures pieced together from delicately cut publications, thin strips of report splaying out from each book’s spine. Wildenboer’s discovered publications tend to be people containing maps, atlases, and clinical subject material, sometimes utilizing pictures from guide as central elements to the woman pieces. Imagery, terms, and phrases become aspects of the larger styles, as she crafts new artistic narratives from the raw material.

By creating artistic metaphors, Wildenboer attempts to capture her very own question of complex systems in nature like fractal geometry therefore the interconnectedness of beings.
