Detail by detail coloured Pencil images of nature by Marco Mazzoni
For most people, a sketchbook is just a playground of tips, arbitrary thoughts, and an abundance of errors. For Milan-based artist Marco Mazzoni it’s someplace where brand-new artworks are born, realized perfectly from margin to margin. In the coloured pen drawings Mazzoni will consider heavy arrays of intertwined nature, in addition to depictions of female herbalists from 16th—18th Century, Sardinia—portraits that can be seen as similarly stunning or unsettling.
Seen here are numerous drawings when it comes to previous month or two, some of of created for Juxtapoz Magazine’s twenty years Under the Influence of Juxtapoz in the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery through April 19th. You’ll follow their focus on Instagram, Twitter, as well as on Tumblr.
